G-Power Tunes the New BMW Z4
German tuner G-Power has wasted no time modifying the new E89 Z4 roadster. The company just announced its tuning program, which includes horsepower upgrades, twenty-inch wheels and tires, coilover suspension and a sport exhaust.
Power upgrades so far are available for the Z4 sDrive35i. G-Power's Bi-Tronik performance module increases horsepower on the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged six-cylinder from 300 horsepower to 345. Torque increases from 300 lb-ft to 354.
The company's signature Silverstone Diamond alloy wheels are available in 20" fitments wearing 255/30ZR20 tires in front with 295/25ZR20 in back. The combination offers a significant reduction in rolling mass to improve performance. G-Power's GZ4-RS coilover suspension offers height adjustability as well as nine settings each for compression and rebound.
The finishing touch for now is the a full stainless rear muffler with four outlets and a deep rich sound. The combination of upgrades takes the G-Powered Z4 from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.7). We expect to see G-Power styling enhancements for the new Z4 shortly.
